More Fertilizer Use, But Falling Response and Poorer Soil

According to experts, intensive agriculture in the country has stripped the soil of its secondary and micronutrients over time. Other causes include climate change, pest diseases and other soil management problems. Potential solutions cited are soil testing and the use of organic fertilizers.
